Glastonbury & Wells Area Day Tour

Sightseeing day tour from Bath with Celtic Horizons

Welcome to Somerset - Glastonbury & Wells Area Day Tour

Taking you to a land where history intertwines with mythical legends and religion, our Glastonbury and Wells area day tour takes in the rolling Somerset landscape and brings you two towns which should be included on any visit to the West of England.

Maybe better known around the world today due to it's nearby Festival, Glastonbury has been occupied since neolithic times and is now known for its 'new age' vibe, pulling on a history taking in tales of Joseph of Arimathea, the Holy Grail, Avalon and King Arthur: sights to take in include the ruins of Glastonbury Abbey and the Glastonbury Tor, a hill that soars 500 feet above sea level to give panoramic views across Somerset, Dorset and over to southern Wales on clear days.

Whilst many of you wil have heard of Glastonbury the nearby medieval small city of Wells entices visitors with its own medieval cathedral (which dates back to around 1180), Bishops Palace and Vicars Close (as well as being a pleasant town in it's own right!).

Celtic Horizon's Glastonbury & Wells sightseeing tour takes in the main attractions in both towns and other notable sights en-route but can, of course, adapted to meet your requirements: contact us for excursion plans and prices for your tour.
